Walks alongside rivers, over mountains and plains and through ravines
With such a wide choice of routes it is impossible to do them all. The different routes include two Nature Parks, various conservation areas, unique landscape such as the forests of cork oak, the plain with its curious lagoon, the impressive ravine of the river Palancia or the thermal waters of the river Mijares, make our surrounding an ideal place for spectacular walks.
The views from any of the many “thousands” of nearby mountains are unforgettable. A landscape of extensive woodland, with the Mediterranean in the background and in the distance the snowy peaks of the Sierra de Javalambre.
You will be surprised by the flora and fauna, reigned by the eagle, the owls and the bats, the mountain goats, the genets and the badger.
But it’s not necessary to climb a mountain or walk far and wide to become enchanted by the scenery. Short strolls such as the walk from Sharíqua to Jérica or the route along the banks of the Palancia river through the famous ravine provide endless delights.
Wherever it may be, our area offers a close-knit network of well signposted walks and footpaths: both local and long distance. We will be happy to provide you with information including leaflets and maps.
