A twenty minute drive down the motorway will take you to Sagunto, a jewel of Roman and Arab architecture: You can visiti its famous Roman Theatre from the 1st century and the towering fortress, witness to the fights against Hannibal.

Only 15 km from Sagunto – and 55 km from Jérica - the capital Valencia is a popular place of excursions. Mecca of museums, architectural beauty and shopper’s paradise.

Also the neighbouring region of Aragón, only a few km from Jérica on the motorway, is a discovery scenically as well as culturally. An architectonic treasure is the small village Rubielos de Mora (60 km) whose lanes and mansions lead you back into the medieval age. A curiosity is the half moon shaped bull ring. In the neighbouring Mora de Rubielos one should visit the fortress with the incorporated historic museum.

A few kilometers further on Teruel (75 km) holds its ground as the centre of the Mudéjar art and as the Mecca for its famous ham. The "Amantes de Teruel", the tragic lovers of Teruel, are known far over the borders of the town. An absolute must is the visit to Albarracín , 30 km away: a trip into the middle ages - romance and nostalgia pure.
