A swim in the rivers Río Palancia or Río Mijares will always be remembered. The spring water that sufaces all year round with a temperature of 25 degrees centigrade is supposed to have healing effects and last but not least eternal beauty and youth - that was what King Abu Ceid believed, anyway.
<p>Another local legend tells about the 30 metre high waterfall Salto de la Novia of Navajas, just a few car minutes from J&eacute;rica. </p>
<p>Less mysterious but recreative is the angler&rsquo;s life: They appreciate the region for its richness in trouts, but also go for barbs, pikes and carps. </p>
